What we are
Doc for Pets is a directory and booking service. We help you find a veterinarian and arrange a time to see them. We are not a veterinary practice, we don't employ the vets listed here, and we don't provide medical advice.
Care is between you and the vet
The vet is solely responsible for the advice and treatment they give. Any complaint about clinical care is a matter between you and that veterinarian, and ultimately their State Veterinary Council. Tell us anyway — we'll act on it when deciding who stays listed.
What verified means
A verified badge means we checked that vet's registration number against the relevant State Veterinary Council register at the time we listed them. It is a check of registration, not an endorsement of their clinical judgement, and it isn't continuously monitored.
Listings without a verified badge were compiled from public directories and have not been confirmed by the vet.
Payment
We don't take payment. You pay the vet directly, at whatever they charge. We add nothing on top and hold no money on anyone's behalf. Fees shown here are supplied by the vet and may change — confirm with them.
Emergencies
This service is not for emergencies. If your pet is injured, struggling to breathe, or has collapsed, go straight to your nearest animal hospital instead of booking here.
Using the site fairly
Don't make bookings you don't intend to keep, scrape the directory, or submit anyone else's personal details. We may remove listings or block access where the service is being misused.
For veterinarians
During the pilot there is no listing fee and no commission — you keep everything you charge. If that ever changes we'll tell you in advance and you can leave. You can have your listing removed at any time by asking.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page.
